Continue the work…. as usual
Doing research on some featured organizations and their websites, wrote down their ideas, category them.
Start read a new article Design for Social Impact from IDEO. Very interesting.
Had a discussion with Niklas this afternoon, get some really nice feedback from him. Also discussed about how I should use service design to help me doing interaction design, talked about the different between working as a generalist interaction designer and a specialist interaction designer.
I really hope my work can be useful and helpful for Red Cross. I will try my best:)

Prepare for interviews
Today I’m trying to finish preparing the questions and other thing for interviews.
At the same time trying to contact local Red Cross officers to check how they work here, how the volunteers join the work and activities in Umea.
Hope some good news will coming soon.
By the way, I really like the way how they organize the WWF UK’s website, clear and understandable.

Bought a new album on itunes today
I saw this album on itunes today, and bought it without thinking. It said at least 6.56 Euro for each download of this album will be donated to Haiti.
I like the idea a lot, the songs are great as well.

Bad experience about donate on World Vison
When I show the news about Haiti earthquake, I tried to donate money online, I got the link on EV to WorldVision online donation page. I’ve heard about it before and like their concept very much, but never register.
When I try to donate, a information shows that I have to login/register first. ( I though… but I only want to donate money for this time and I really want to do it as fast as possible since the people in Haiti are waiting for help. ) I try to register by fill in personal information, I didn’t get the membership right away.
After I become a member, I try to start the donation, when I finished filling all the information and press the donate button, information pop out and said it only work inside the U.S, I was really disappointed about that … they should as least tell me this at the very beginning but not the very end.
I visited UNICEF website and donated without register in 2-3 min.
For me I think how to make the donate and contribute process easy and user friendly is also very important both for an organization and the user especially for a new potential user. Sometimes less is more.
